It has been a fair while, to say the least, since my last post and for that I really do apologize. I haven’t been totally wasting my time.. In the words of Oscar Wilde: learn as if you will live forever, what a brilliant quote by a brilliant man… It’s relevant to me now in that I have been reading about the world, learning about the world. I have found John Muir’s ‘My First Summer In The Sierra’, first published in 1911, 3 years before the authors death, a brilliant read. As for the book adaptation of Stephen Fry’s tour of america, excellence, a brilliant follow up to the tv series I did and indeed still do love. As a matter of fact I rewatched the series DVD today.

I apologize for having nothing more interesting to tell you today, so I will bid you a good night

The Maths Exam

Maths exams tend to go one way for me: a quick 5 minuets of pain, followed by 1 hour and 25 minuets of absolute boredom. Around 10 minuets into the latter I loose all will to live. Thank god it’s over!
I’m glad, beyond levels you could possibly imagine, to be once again at home and in bed. Yes! Bed! With the sun shining through my open windows, and the breeze cooling me, coldplay softly playing away and best of all: no future commitment!
In September I will be starting new AS levels, and in a way I am looking forward to it, but for now I have over a month of my bed. See you all when I wake up!

Child’s Play

Today’s been a surprisingly good day. I do enjoy a good session in the hot tub, and who wouldn’t? Even if it was only heated to 35 degreese C today, not the usual 45. I was joined by my two aunties and grandmother in there. You can imagane how it killed the moment. Then my nephew Ollie, aged 1 and a bit got in too. We got into a bit of a waterfight. All good fun. It was followed by me trying to teach Ollie a few new words such as plane and hose, and anything else I could find around the garden. My efforts didn’t go very far as he seems to only be happy with car, and elle-op-er. Although I was shocked when I jokingly said ‘bit your finger’ then looked across to see him actually do it, I was quite shocked… Coincidence? Or amazing level of understanding from a child who’s vocabulary consists of two words?

I seem to have gone on for a while now, so please do get back to your lives. Bye.

From The Bedroom

My bedroom is my solitude. My space. Away from the world outside. My bedroom is a place where everything remains in ballence, infact unless a natural desaster took place nothing poses it a threat at all. Safety.

I have always admired the view from my bedroom window, it looks out over the town and out to open feilds. It’s west facing so I can always rely on a good view of the sunset.

I’m currently blessed with the sounds of birdsong through my open window, a blessing indeed.

I would like to have a point today better than this, but I don’t… Excluding the tip into my garden today I haven’t left the house, quite a tragic shame as it does look like such a nice day has yet again passed me by.

Due to the fact I have nothing interesting to say today I will simply stop talking now, goodbye.

Newness, a quick introduction

Ahhh newness, if that is a word… If it isn’t then I herby create it, let it be known worldwide through the valleys, over the mountains and in the seas that my blog is fully full of newness.

If, by the end of that paragraph, you have managed to resist the potent urge of suicide then I’d say we are off to a good start. And good starts are always… well… good.

George Maier is the name. I’m not going to tell you my full name, for you would laugh, as most do; it’s ridiculously pompous and makes me sound like some heir to the throne of a distant country, where I would live in a castle surrounded by a forest; How idyllic the image. But no, I fear it’s just me, George.

I’ve just done my AS levels, however, it’s not all looking to the future now, as I am doing a completely new set of AS levels starting in September. A waste of time as my mother puts it? I’d say not… I’ve enjoyed the past year. It’s taught me where I do want to go, and where I don’t. I now know where I am in life, and I don’t regret the past year even if I haven’t got anything on paper out of it. I met some truly amazing people, made friends who I now couldn’t live without.

Anyway, this is meant to be a quick introduction, so I will leave it at that. You can pick up the rest as we go along. I will be trying to do a blog post every day. I don’t know how long for, we will have to see how it goes I suppose.
